Attendance of Students:


The current Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) gives due importance to attendance of students. The CBCS also emphasized on attendance by crediting and allowing marks to attendance. According to UGC Rules, in the internal assessments (which are compulsory to the Courses) the following marks is attributed to the student(s) accordingly: Percentage of Attendance in Class Marks Allotted out of 5 (in each Honours/Pass paper/Core Course) 50% to 60% 2 Marks 61% to 75% 3 Marks 76% to 90% 4 Marks 91% to 100% 5 Marks Less than 50% N.A. A regular student of the college must have to attend at least 50% of classes held during the particular academic semester, failing which the candidate shall be treated as Non-collegiate (more than 50%): Students are expected to go through the college Notice Board(s) regularly; Students are expected to be co-operative and well-mannered in dealing with their Teachers, Non-teaching staff and their fellow friends; All the Honours and General Students must appear at the Test Examinations conducted by the Department concerned and/or the College; Every student must use College property like furniture, laboratory equipments and consumables, electrical and toiletry fittings, library books, etc. with due care and caution. Any student found damaging the college property shall be summarily punished; Students have to participate in (and keep discipline in) the various function, meeting, competitions, Students’ Union election and such activities in the College; No students will be allowed to get in or out of a class, examination hall without the Teacher’s permission; Practice of ragging and eve-teasing are punishable offence; The Institution expects every student to have self-respect and be proud of being a student of MEMARI COLLEGE.
